While everyone seems to have embraced chunky sneakers, women’s shoes in particular have managed to buck the trend by experimenting with platform soles on classic silhouettes. Following the release of Girls Are Awesome in February, the adidas Triple PlatForum Lo the Three Stripes collection will soon begin its high-end iterations in a clean, whitewashed lineup.
The upper is reminiscent of the adidas Forum Hi, but with a premium feel. The pair is made from butter-soft deconstructed leather with suede overlays that wrap around the heel. Unlike the standard Forum Hi, the metal elements are on the ankle strap and eyelets for a fashionable look, perhaps meant to mimic the straps of an arm bag. As the model name suggests, the newcomers venture to new heights with a three-layer rubber outsole. The result is an elevated platform sneaker that embodies a modern and luxurious aesthetic.
While a release date for the pair has not yet been confirmed, it will likely appear on adidas.com in the coming months.
Other news under the umbrella of the three stripes: the adidas ZX 420 is getting festive for the stoned holidays.
